More than 36,000 packed the Miami Marlins’ stadium to watch the World Baseball Classic semifinal. The crowd got hot when Junior Caminero homered off Paul Skenes and roared a few more times when Team USA’s Gunnar Henderson tied the game and Roman Anthony hit the go-ahead dinger.
Anthony reminisced about the 2023 World Baseball Classic final, revealing he bought a ticket to watch the U.S., but they fell to Japan.
"Coming to the WBC here, you dream of representing this country and being here the next time around," Anthony said.

It’s unclear if New York Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler deals with the fear, but he made sure that the insect was taken care of before a spring training game.
Schlittler called security to get a spider out of his locker before the team took on the Detroit Tigers, according to the YES Network. Schlittler didn’t pitch in the game as the Yankees fell to the Tigers, 12-1.
"A spider was successfully extracted from my locker today. Best security team in the league!" he wrote on X.

The 25-year-old Massachusetts native pitched in 14 games for the Yankees in 2025. He had a 2.96 ERA with 84 strikeouts. He had 12 strikeouts in Game 3 of the American League wild-card series against the Boston Red Sox, which elevated his popularity back in October.
The young pitcher has started two games in spring training this year. He has a 1.50 ERA and 10 strikeouts.
When everyone is healthy, Schlittler is set to rejoin a rotation with Max Fried, Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon for the 2026 season.

But the final at-bat came under fire as U.S. closer Mason Miller got Dominican Republic shortstop Geraldo Perdomo to strike out looking. Juan Soto also struck out looking on a similar pitch from David Bednar in the eighth inning. The Soto strikeout ended the Dominican Republic’s chances of tying the game, while Perdomo’s strikeout ended the game.

Ortiz said if the umpire was calling 100 mph pitches up in the zone strikes, then the pitch from Miller low in the zone couldn’t have been a strike.
"I’m pretty sure they’re going to have the challenge system in place for the next WBC," Jeter said. "You hate to end a game that way. But you give credit to the U.S. They not only pitched well, they hit two home runs. They played great defense – whether it was Aaron (Judge) with the throw to third base, Bobhy Witt with the plays that he made – saved a run early on by knocking a ball down as well. Great pitching, great defense, U.S. deserves to go to the final."

谈及与徽剧的结缘，汪育殊把思绪拉回到四十多年前。1982年，还是懵懂少年的汪育殊正在上小学，一次偶然的机会，他得知安徽省徽剧团招生的消息。在父母的提议下，他抱着试试看的心态前去报考，未承想这次尝试竟让他与徽剧结下了一生的缘分。
“从1982年到现在，已经四十多年了。当时的我对徽剧一无所知，就是一张白纸。”汪育殊感慨道。徽剧学习之路并非坦途，但汪育殊始终以“多磨戏、磨好戏”为宗旨，在徽剧创作中接连推出《徽班》《刘铭传》《惊魂记》等精品大戏。
“中国传统戏曲是优秀传统文化的重要组成部分，承载着中国几千年的文化精髓，是中国历史变迁的活体教科书，是中国文化的代表之一。要树立文化自信，就应该从传统文化入手，让更多青少年接触戏曲艺术。”汪育殊坚定地说。
多年来，除了自身从事徽剧表演工作，汪育殊还积极培养青年演员，希望能有更多年轻人参与到徽剧传承中来，为徽剧艺术注入新鲜血液。
徽剧之光
孕育国粹，见证文化交流盛事
“今年是纪念徽班进京235周年，作为一名徽剧人，我感到非常自豪。正是因为四大徽班进京才开创了京剧这一国粹的辉煌。”汪育殊说，徽剧之所以能融合发展成为京剧，关键在于它在当时具备时尚性，也就是背后的“徽班精神”。
“我认为徽剧的魅力在于徽班精神，徽班精神就是兼收并蓄、博采众长、海纳百川、与时俱进。徽剧的发展融合了昆腔、梆子、秦腔、汉调等，甚至还借鉴了美国百老汇音乐剧的表演风格，正是这种集百家之长的特质让它深受老百姓喜爱。”汪育殊说。
谈及徽剧与京剧的区别，汪育殊通俗易懂地进行了科普，“两者都有皮黄声腔，但京剧经过历代大师提炼，更加规范化，还形成了许多流派；徽剧的皮黄腔多由民间艺人言传身教，在民间传播较广。在表演上，徽剧更粗犷豪放，采用大写意的手法，通过动作由内而外地展现人物情感。”
他还提到徽剧“八大”表演特色，“徽剧形成初期，很多演出在田间地头，没有舞台和扩音设备，所以演员表演要大蹦大跳、夸张生动，服饰大红大绿、亮丽喜庆，音乐用大锣大鼓吸引观众，演唱则要大喊大叫，保证声音有穿透力，这些都是徽剧原生态的体现。”
创新传承
让古老徽剧在新时代焕发生机
在徽剧传承过程中，汪育殊一直在思考如何让这门古老艺术适应新时代，吸引更多观众尤其是年轻观众。他认为，戏曲要发展，既要守正，也要创新。“我们要把徽剧优秀的传统表演技法和经典剧目传承下来，同时还要根据当下青年人的审美观，对徽剧的表演模式进行提炼、提升和创新。”
如今，“百戏入皖·星耀合肥”戏曲主题活动在合肥举办，这与235年前徽班进京形成了奇妙的呼应。汪育殊说：“当年徽班进京，如今全国兄弟院团齐聚合肥，这特别有意义。安徽是国粹京剧的摇篮，‘百戏入皖’给全国戏曲人提供了研究交流的平台，大家共同探讨戏曲未来的发展之路，包括在当下如何传承、传播、创新和守护，这次活动恰逢其时，意义重大！”
他说，与当年徽班从民间走向宫廷不同，如今“百戏入皖”是惠民政策，“让老百姓在一座城市里欣赏到全国各地的优秀戏曲表演，这是安徽戏剧界乃至文化界的盛事。”
据悉，在此次“百戏入皖·星耀合肥”戏曲主题活动中，安徽省徽京剧院带来的作品《徽班》即将于10月30日至31日在安徽百戏城连演两场，这部由汪育殊主演的大型原创徽剧不仅展现了徽风皖韵的独特魅力，同时也让全国各地的观众感受到徽剧的生机与活力。
谈及徽剧的未来，汪育殊说：“徽剧的发展离不开海纳百川、兼容并蓄、博采众长的这种精神，与当下新兴的艺术形式相融合，让我们徽剧的艺术生命力常演常新，不断在艺术上自我求变，才能够让更多观众，尤其是年轻观众去喜欢它、传承它、传播它。”（记者 夏伟）
